4:00 Office Work: Gathering Ideas before the Draft · explore the work of Maurice Sendak (assorted books) · brainstorm and form hypotheses on what the author might have been thinking about or inspired by (record on chart) · actively collect ideas for writing by exploring school environment (notebooks or clipboards to be provided) · share in pairs; then group share · examine student work from Anita’s class
4:30 Orgainized Inquiry · examine student work from Judy’s pre-K · group reflection on student work · presenter’s reflections
4:50 Written Reflection Write a note to Judy that may include how you might use her idea at your grade level, questions about work, ideas for moving to the next step, compliments, etc.
5:00 Share/Plan · something you tried or would like to try based on our study group work (for last session) · what next?
